The Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley has never hidden the fact that since childhood she has suffered from dyslexia, a disorder in the ability to master reading and writing.
To this day, the actress has a hard time memorizing the text for a role, and in order to remember her lines, Kira records them in audio format and listens to them many times.
It turns out that one of Knightley’s daughters was diagnosed with the same disease.
Kira and her husband James Righton spoke about this in the latest episode of the Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast. It is not specified which of the girls has dyslexia (remember, Knightley and Righton have two daughters – eight-year-old Edie and four-year-old Delilah).
According to the actress, her daughter is now exploring the world in the same ways as her star mother: listening to audiobooks or watching their film adaptations. And also, Kira says, the baby has a phenomenal memory, and she admires it.
By the way, a couple of years ago, Keira Knightley boldly stated that she would not allow her daughters to watch cartoons about princesses, since they allegedly convey the wrong message about the role of women in society. After a while, the actress came to her senses, but she admits that when one of the girls was indignant when she saw Prince Philip kissing Aurora without permission in “Sleeping Beauty,” the famous mother was incredibly happy.
