Bisset was nominated as Most Promising Newcomer in 1968 for “The Sweet Ride.” Since then, her career has taken off, and she has received bountiful recognition, awards and opportunities. Her name was in a lot of marquees, and she became one of the most versatile actresses of her generation. With her beauty, elegance, and talent, Bisset has attracted a lot of attention and lovers – specifically Hollywood’s hottest men at the time.
She was famously pursued by music icon Frank Sinatra back in the day, and she even declined several dinner dates as she knew it would be misinterpreted. Bisset was even highly rumored to have been romantically involved with Hollywood bad boy, Steve McQueen. However, Bisset is a fanciful lass raised in the United Kingdom, so they did not actually hit it off.
Aside from Sinatra and McQueen, Bisset also had romantic interests. Among those were ballet dancer Alexander Godunov, and actors Vincent Perez and Michael Sarrazin.

Bisset has earned a lot of attention in the past few years because of her longevity in the entertainment industry. After 47 years, she finally won a Golden Globe Award in 2013 for “Dancing on the Edge” as Best Supporting Actress — her first since being nominated in 1968.
In 2022, Bisset starred in the Russell Brown film “Loren & Rose,” where she played the titular role of Rose. The story seemed to hit quite close to home as Loren was a legendary actor hoping to re-establish her career but her reputation of being a “little zany and a bit unreliable” seemed to be her greatest challenge.
Bisset, who is actually a legendary actress and seasoned artist, was perfect for the role because of her actual career. However, Brown believes that Bisset is very different from her character.
Speaking of transformation, Bisset has expressed her thoughts on artificial transformation aided by technology. She told The Daily Mail in 2014 that even though she had “lots of complexes” during her youth, she was not tempted to have plastic surgery.
“I don’t think it makes you look younger,” she explained. “It makes you different.”
For Bisset, the ultimate beauty secret is kindness – she said it in her famous 2014 Golden Globe acceptance speech.
“I believe, if you want to look good, you’ve got to forgive everybody. It’s the best beauty treatment,” she shared.
