It was as early as at the age of 15 that she started her modeling career gracing the cover of Elle Magazine. Soon, her ethereal charm and charisma made her the epitome of female beauty not only in her homeland of France, but also all over the world.

Her cinematic debut was in 1952 in «Crazy in Love». However, her career was brought into a new level with her appearance in «And God Created Woman» which was truly a success.  The film star was only 39 when she announced her acting retirement.

Recently, she has scared her fans by the latest news about her health condition. She suddenly began feeling bad, but managed not to lose her consciousness.

Doctors came and gave her oxygen to breathe adding that things were still delicate, but her heart, blood pressure and pulse were good.
